It was originally composed for a poster advertising a Guillaume Apollinaireās exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art in 1961 or 1962, and was titled āApollinaire Saidā. Hence it is often misattributed to Apollinaire.
But nevertheless a brilliant poem and very suitable :-)
